Daleks Photobombing on the BAFTA Television Awards Red Carpet
Say what you like about the Daleks, but one thing’s for certain - they’re not camera shy. When we invited a couple along to patrol the BAFTA Television Awards red carpet, we thought they’d be content to look intimidating and do their ‘EXTERMINATE!’ thing.
How wrong we were.
Clearly vying for a bit of extra attention, the Daleks photobombed their way into countless red carpet snaps. Below are just a handful of their Television Awards antics…

Casually rolling into frame to grab a quick word with the For the Love of Dogs presenter Paul O’Grady, the Daleks are currently in conversation with O’Grady about a spin-off show called For the Love of Daleks.*
*(they’re not really, nobody loves Daleks.)

With an almost hushed reverence, the Dalek keeps a respectful distance away from Leading Actor winner Ben Whishaw.

Not quite so respectful to Homeland actor David Harewood. We’re amazed Harewood managed to stay so cool under pressure - it’s not everyday you find a Dalek breathing down your neck.

The Great British Bake Off star Mary Berry unwittingly poses with a Dalek. As Andy Wright remarked on Facebook, ‘EXTERMIN-BAKE!!!!!!’. Indeed.

Unaware that it’s trundling past Made in Chelsea stars Mark-Francis Vandelli and Binky Felstead, Dalek Number One seems in a hurry to join his partner in crime…

…Dalek Number Two, who is armed and ready to shoot at their co-stars Lucy Watson and Spencer Matthews. Clearly it’s just not happy with their blossoming relationship, and wants it to end before it goes any further.
And just for good measures, here’s a Vine of the Daleks from Sunday night:

The TARDIS dropped in on Sir Winston Churchill at the British Embassy in Washington!
It may look small but we all know it’s bigger on the inside.

“Despite a large black population, British film had seen precious few black female voices break out until Amma Asante arrived on the scene with her debut feature “A Way of Life”. Winning the BAFTA award for Best Debut Feature, Asante has attracted a star cast to her follow-up “Belle”, including Matthew Goode, Miranda Richardson, Tom Wilkinson and Emily Watson. Starring Gugu Mbatha Raw as a mixed race woman raised as an aristocrat in 18th century Britain, it is set to reinvigorate the traditionally stuffy British period genre when it enters production this year.
It shot on the Isle Of Man, London, Oxford, as well as Pinewood Studios and is due to wrap Nov. 9.
Bankside Films is handling worldwide sales, with the Isle Of Man’s CinemaNX on board to distribute in the U.K.”

IS THAT JACKIE TYLER IN THE BACKGROUND!??!!!

also are we just ignoring the fact that all three of them have a pizza to themselves and theyve drank more coke than i have in my whole life

no but seriously is that jackie tyler

Okay, so I showed this picture to Camille Coduri, who plays Jackie Tyler. Based on her exclamation of “Is that Harry Potter?!” I’d say she’s not met Daniel Radcliffe before. She took my phone off me and after inspecting the photo closely, concluded that it wasn’t her because she’s never owned that cardi or that dress, but she thinks it’s a brilliant lookalike, especially because the guy next to her looks like Noel (who played Mickey).
In conclusion, no, it’s not Jackie Tyler. But she thinks it’s brilliant anyway.
